Bank Top Holiday Cottage and Bank Top Holiday Home – the place for tranquil holidays
Bank Top Holiday Cottage is hidden away on a leafy hillside overlooking dramatic Millers Dale. The River Wye splashes down through the valley below. Bank Top is popular with our guests because of its spectacular views and isolation whilst still being close to Tideswell and Buxton.
The nearby Bank Top Holiday Home sits in splendid isolation in a small orchard in the grounds of our 200-year-old cottage. It lies about 30 feet from the Limestone Way, an old drovers route that extends from Castleton in the north, south to Matlock and beyond – fantastic walking straight from your front door.
Bank Top is close to many popular tourist locations, like Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Bakewell. There is some great walking right from the front door and the famous Monsal Trail, a level railway line running between Buxton and Bakewell is just across the valley. Cycle hire facilities are available up the line at Blackwell Cottages. The River Wye is famous for its trout fishing – indeed is said to be the best trout river in the country.
